Fanfarlo “Shiny Things”

How long have I been waiting for a new Fanfarlo album? Too long. The time is now!

Rooms Filled with Light drops February 27th. Oh, and they’re coming to Chicago in March. Merry Christmas, Nora!

I love imagining what life would be like if there were a soundtrack to go with it. In my opinion, it would make funny moments funnier, happy moments happier, and dull moments more bearable. Unfortunately, awkward moments would probably be much more awkward – luckily in my dream world there’s a mute button. Can you imagine talking to someone you liked and having “You light up my life” playing in the background? No thanks, SBI.
The reason I have divulged my strange daydream is this - I have found the perfect band to play in the background during the scene in which I take a long car ride in a vintage convertible. The sweet songs play as I drive down a twisted, tree lined road on a warm and cloudless day.
Listening to the five-person band, Fanfarlo, instantly has me riding in that convertible. Their sound is slightly reminiscent of Mumford & Sons, but with a little less folk. As a matter of fact, Fanfarlo is currently on tour with Mumford & Sons, so that show must be dy-no-mite. Check out Fanfarlo and if you can’t picture yourself driving down that bending road, well, weird for you.
